Maybe you don’t have it so bad after all. You get up in the morning and you take a look at what is in store for you and you think to yourself that this is going to be another day where you wish that you could stay in bed and not have to face the world.
I know that sometimes there are instances when the world is not fair and not to your advantage at all. That is when you have to look at the world and understand that things could be worse and that we have just as big a part to play in where we are as anyone else does, if not more so.
We sometimes get caught up in a single moment and think that the world is out to get us and that no matter what we do there is not going to be a happy ending for ourselves. Well, you can take this to the bank my fair weathered friends, things will end up the way that they are supposed to be as long as you stay the course and you do the right thing according to your heart and conscious and spirit.
Most importantly, do not let fear and what you might think is necessary, change who you are to get what you think that you might need. I have one philosophy that I follow religiously and it is this: Your life has purpose and meaning and as soon as you lose respect for that life and purpose you are going to face more and more times when your spirit and the person that you are meant to be will be in conflict with your environment.
It is all about being true to who you are and what you are meant to do while here on this planet, and as soon as you realize this and as soon as you take that knowledge into yourself and live and breathe it, you will be at peace both internally and externally. Here is an example:
Have you ever been in a situation or living a certain way doing something that your heart was not into? For whatever reason you had convinced yourself that you were supposed to be doing it and that it would not be forever. The best one yet; it was just too good to pass up. Well you know what they say about things being too good. They usually are and they are not going to bring you anything but unhappiness. While you were on this path and while you were doing what you had convinced yourself was the right thing to do, did you notice how things always seemed to be difficult and that things always seemed to be disappointing and unfulfilling and just plain bad? That the benefit that you thought you were getting was not worth what you were going through to get it.
Now the inverse is true as well. Have you ever been in a situation where you were honoring who you are and your talents and putting forth into the world what you were meant to share? When you think about those times you will also remember that things seemed right and the fit was perfect and you were happy and you liked where you were and you loved what you were doing.
We have all had these examples placed in front of us our entire lives and we still go with the easy or the quick fix most of the time. Why is that? Do we not trust who we are and what we have to offer as being enough to give the world? Well, let me tell you something. In that respect you are completely wrong. You are who you are and you have been given talents and skills and a personality that honors and compliments those talents. When you bring all of those things together you have magic. When you have magic and when you have that kind of positive energy, you can change the world and then that purpose that you thought was not worth honoring will out shine any doubt that you once had and bring you into alignment with who you were meant to be.
What I am trying to say is this. We put ourselves into situations that we know that we should not be in for many different reasons, and we remain there even though we are keenly aware that we should not be there. Yet we do it. Take a look at people that are extremely successful and listen to what they say when they are asked why they do what they do. The answer that you are going to hear most often are these:
“I was meant to do this.”
“This is all that I have ever wanted to do”
“It is just who I am.”
“I cannot imagine doing anything else.”
Don’t get me wrong. Everyone goes through stages in their lives when stray off of the path of where they are meant to go. The key is to know when you are on the wrong path and then to do whatever it takes to get back on the right one.
So take the leap of faith and for once bet on yourself because no one needs you more than you do and in order to honor yourself and be true to whom you are you must stop living your life in conflict with who you are meant to be.
Be strong, be healthy, be wise, but most importantly, be you!
